- Decide which products to make and sell
- Crunch the numbers and come up with a reasonable price point
- Create an inventory
- Sell first to neighbours, family, and friends
- Collect reviews from neighbours, family, and friends (make changes to your product based on these reviews)
- Apply to craft shows, festivals, fairs, and flea markets
- Create an online shop (website, Etsy shop, Shopify store, eBay, Handmade @Amazon, etc.)
- Advertise your wares by word-of-mouth and online in Facebook, Instagram& Local Social media groups,, etc.
- If selling at a craft fair set up an eye-catching, well displayed table or stand
- Keep a record of inventory/sales
- After the craft fair, re-evaluate prices and raise/lower if necessary. Did some products sell like hotcakes? If so, make more and consider raising the price.
