Theme “Living in the 21st Century”
Entrants must first complete all sections of the “Young Photographer Competition Entry Form” below before submitting any photographic images. Once received we create a confidential ident for you (the entrant) and your photo.
*Open only to people who live in the Mid & East Antrim Area
**The age category is 12 to 16 (based on your age on Saturday 24th August 2023)
Three mounted images/photos per entrant, with application (not framed)
Closing date for entries and photos is 26th August 2023
All photo entries who pass the first judging must be a mounted photograph which will be added to the exhibition and final judging

Photographs can be taken on any digital device including phones, cameras, tablets etc as well as SLR Cameras
You cannot digitally manipulate your entries except to CROP an image
Photos likely to cause offence will not be accepted.
All photographs must have been taken by the entrant, unaided, in 2019 / 2023
Copyright of the images must be the property of the entrant and will remain with the entrant. Permission by the entrant will be needed to copy or use their photographs for promotional or other purposes.
Entrants must respect other people's privacy, views, and opinions always when taking photographs
Do not cause offence, damage, or danger in the process of photography. Please seek approval of anyone prominently featured in your photos
Animals or plants included in images must not be damaged, abused or harmed in any way
When your photographs are judged each, will be judged completely anonymously, the judges will not know your age or school or your name
Personal details will be collected only to validate entrant’s eligibility and will be only validated at the winner’s stage of the competition. Winner's details will be retained until October 2024. All other entrants’ details and photos will be deleted immediately after the competition
Entrants must supply the name and contact details of a responsible adult/parent. We will only contact them if you win so we can obtain permissions for your images to be used in publicity including press and, on our website, www.midtownmakers.co.uk
Three winners will be selected by the judges, Prizes will be awarded to the first 3 winning
Photographs plus all entrants will have the chance to exhibit their work in Midtown Makers for 3 Months.
Our panel of Judges are Professional Photographers from the Mid & East Antrim Area
The Competition is being run by Midtown Makers & Woodsides Photography and has no connection with Mid & East Antrim Council
