International Woman's Day 2024
Celebrating Women's Achievements:
International Women’s Day!
International Women’s Day was on March 8th, it was time to reflect on the incredible strides made by women throughout history and to envision the future ahead. To mark this day, Here at Midtown Makers on Church Street Ballymena we hosted a special event from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM, and we invited some women from our community to join us in celebrating the remarkable achievements of women past, present, and future.
We had a delightful gathering filled with camaraderie, inspiration, and of course, delicious treats! With plenty of Tea & Coffee, a slice of cake, and plenty of chat with like-minded women. We celebrated the accomplishments of women who have reshaped our history and continue to pave the way for future generations.

Supporting a Worthy Cause:
In addition to celebrating women’s achievements, we were proud to support a vital cause during this event. We were raising funds for Action Cancer’s Breast Screening Service through a raffle of handmade gifts. Those who participated in the raffle will not only contribute to this excellent charity but also help in ensuring accessible breast screening services for women in need. Together, they made a difference with their support for each other in our collective journey towards a brighter, more equitable future.
We would like to thank all of those , who donated on the day. We help lift £80.00 on that day.

Meeting Our Makers
On that day, we had the chance to meet some of our excellent crafters, who showed off their skills which makes them part of Midtown Makers which makes us an award-winning Ballymena Business Centre regeneration project and a successful place for Small businesses in the Mid & East Antrim
